Edward Jason Ayres, 56, of Newport, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Poling officiating.
Edward served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corp. He was an active member of the Newport Moose Lodge, where he served as past governor. He was also a member of the "Steel Sons" motorcycle club.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Owens Ayres of the home; his father George L. Ayres brothers George L.Ayers, Jr. of Beaver Falls, PA, and Gene Eric Ayers of Newport; sisters Donna Jean Torres of Rochester, PA, and Regina "Gina" Ayres Kinter of Newport; three daughters Julie, Kelly, and Brooklyn; four grandchildren Alana, Ronnie, Emily, and Will; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wilma Jean Musser.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
