Edna Faye (Smith) Wooten

Edna Faye Wooten, 70, of Newport, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gurganus officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wooten was a caregiver at Harborview Health Care Center, the former Bromans Nursing Home, and Carteret Care Facility. She also worked at the Handy House and was a driver for C-Cats.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leslie "L.C." Wooten of the home; son, Lynn Hartman of Beaufort; two daughters, Linda Player and husband James of Newport and Loria Hartman of Atlantic; two grandsons, Justin Player and Michael Player; great-grandson, Brody Player; and two sisters, Janice Chadwick of Beaufort and Ann Easter of Morehead City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Edna Smith, daughter, Susan Hartman, and two brothers, David Smith and Wayne Smith.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
