Edna Norwood

Edna Sue Norwood, 62, of Morehead City, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Norwood was employed by the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources-Parks, Environmental Management, Fiscal Management & Controller's Office from 1979 to 1993, serving as Receptionist, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant. She started as receptionist/clerk typist and progressed to senior administrative position. Her primary responsibilities included budget transfers from budget analysis, management of all correspondence, scheduling, and special projects for the division director.
She is survivied by her spouse, Professor Earl W. Norwood, and brothers Troy Scott McKenzie of Morehead City, NC. and Hugh "Mac" Nelson McKenzie III of Wake Forest, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
