Edna Lee Murdoch

Edna Lee Murdoch, 76, of Morehead City, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Pruitt Health in Sea Level.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., February 18th, at Greenwood Cemetery in Morehead City.

Edna was born on August 1,1945, to the late James F. Hardison and Mary Hardison. She was a graduate of West Carteret High School, Class of 1967. In 1972, she married Milton Murdoch and had two daughters, Sarah E. Murdoch and Bessie Leann Murdoch. She loved her daughters and would give her life for them. Edna loved wildlife and enjoyed nature. She worked for Miss Nancy’s Early Learning Center for nearly a decade before going to work with the Trinity Conference Center where she worked for almost 17 years before retiring in 2015.

She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Murdoch of Chadbourn, NC and Bessie Leann Murdoch of Morehead City, and a brother, Marvin Hardison of Newport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Hardison.
