Edith Josephine Morrill-Wade

Edith Josephine Morrill Wade, 73, of Beaufort, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mal Roberts officiating.
Mrs. Edith graduated from J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, and attended the Women’s College in Greensboro which is now called UNC Greensboro. She worked in the medical labs at UNC Chapel Hill, and for North Carolina State Labs. She was a former member of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, attaining rank of Division Captain.
She is survived by her husband, Roma D. Wade; stepson, R.D. Wade of Stafford, VA; stepdaughter, Theresa Wade of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Joy Morrill Collins of Falkland; numerous nieces and nephews, and their children; also “adopted” sisters, Sylvia Rohrbaugh, and Diane Lang.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Lawrence and Olive Mixon Morrill; and sister, Venetia Morrill Kue.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
