Edgar Frank Morgan, Jr.

Edgar Frank Morgan, Jr., 84, of Newport, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at his home.

Family will hold a private service at a later date.

Frank served as a Captain and Second Lieutenant with the US Air Force, stationed at Pope Air Force Base. He was a graduate of the North Carolina State University, obtained a degree in mechanical engineering, then attended the Milwaukee school of engineering for an advanced degree and was an active brother of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He enjoyed a rewarding career in sales and engineering with the Parker Hannifin Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio, working in Pennsylvania, and the last thirty years in North Carolina. Frank was also an avid tennis player ranked in the Southern states and continued to play the day before his death.

Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diana H. Morgan of the home and 8 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PAWS, 5042 Mattie Street, Morehead City, NC 28557 in memory of his beloved dog, "Deuce".
