Eddie Alexander Arrants

Eddie Alexander Arrants, 73, of Beaufort NC, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Carteret Health Care.

Eddie was born and raised in Plymouth, NC and attended Plymouth High School. After marrying his wife Suzy, they moved to Jamesville,  and started his lifelong business career as an entrepreneur. He started by building and operating the Jamesville Mini Mart and then later running the River’s Edge Restaurant. He moved to Beaufort in 1985 and began Beaufort Marine Discount. He later built Cape Lookout Internet Services and @ Communications. He took joy in his church family at Live Oak Grove Christian Church where he served as a Deacon. He also proudly participated in helping to build the new sanctuary with Carpenters for Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan “Suzy” Waters, of the home; daughters, Ann Arrants Mugford and husband, Rohn, of Savannah, GA; Kim Phelps Avery and husband, Scott, of Greenville, NC; daughter-in-law, Wendy Jones and husband, Ken, of Greenville, NC; brothers, William “Bud” Arrants and wife, Esther, of Plymouth, NC, Frankie Arrants and wife, Danette, of Jamesville, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Kerner, Erica Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Blake Hodges, Ben Avery, Hannah Scott Avery, Alli Grant Avery, Zack Arrants; great-grandchildren, Landin, Mason, Autumn; and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Truman “Bill”  and Thelma Bryant Arrants; son, Eddie Alexander Arrants, Jr.; and nephew, Wayne Thomas Arrants.

His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Live Oak Grove Christian Church, 166 Russells Creek Road, Beaufort, NC, officiated by Reverend Bill Pollock. Graveside Service will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Highway 32 South, at 6 p.m. in Plymouth, NC.

Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Live Oak Grove Christian Church located in Beaufort.
