Mr. Earl Edwin Wesson, 78, of Beaufort and formerly of Mansfield, TX, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Taylors Extended Care.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Ann St. United Methodist Fellowship Hall in Beaufort.
Earl served his country as a Marine, seeing combat in the Korean War. After the service and following his love of horses, he was a bronc rider winning best-in-show and was also a stunt man. He also became a well known Farrier with clients across the United States.
Survivors include his wife Pat Wesson, of the home; son, Timothy Wesson, of Beaufort; daughter, Jennifer Wesson, of Newport; granddaughter, MacKenna Hoover, of Beaufort; brother, Roger Wesson and wife, Bonnie, of Manchester, CT; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Fred Schatz; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Calvin Wesson, sister, Carolyn and brother, Russell.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Caregivers Fund, 2302-D Arendell St., Morehead City, NC 28557.
