Earl Kenneth Lawrence, Sr.

Earl Kenneth Lawrence, Sr., 84, of Otway, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City with Pastor Robert Parnell, Jr. and Anthony Nelson officiating. Graveside services will be private.
Earl began his career in dredging at the age of 15. He worked as chief engineer for CAC Corporation and Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, and retired after 47 years.
Earl enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very positive, upbeat person, and beloved by all.
Earl leaves behind three children, his daughter, Jill Lawrence of Clayton, Earl (Kenny) Lawrence and wife Linda of Newport, and Lanny Lawrence and wife Lisa of Wilson; beloved granddaughter, Meredith Lawrence of the home who was his care giver; grandchildren, Danielle, Wendy, Bryan, Kendra and Kayla; six great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil Lawrence of Harkers Island; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Lawrence, and a granddaughter, Michelle.
