Duke Ricks Ellis

Duke Ricks Ellis, 53, of New Bern, passed away Wednesday, November 14­, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Tom Tapping.

Duke had a love of history and especially enjoyed Civil War tour trips. He was a talented guitar player and appreciated a variety of music styles.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Eure Ellis, of the home and brother, Edward Ellis of Aylett, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Ellis II and Dorothy Ricks Ellis.

Family will receive friends following the service at Munden Funeral Home.
