Dr. George Sutton, 67 , of Newport, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home.
A graveside service to be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, 201 N. Forbes St. La Grange, NC.
Dr. Sutton practiced Dentistry in Morehead City for over 41 years. His undergraduate and graduate degree was achieved at UNC Chapel Hill, and he was a member of the Sigma Nu Faternity. He was a member of the Lookout Rotary.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte West Sutton of the home; daughter, Dr. Marci Godwin and husband Matt of Morehead City; and grandchild, Sutton West Godwin.
The family will receive friends 5:30 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carteret County Humane Society, PO Box 357, Newport, NC 28570.
