Douglas T. Lewis, 88, of Bettie, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, in Morehead City, with Reverend Terry McInnis officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort.
Douglas attended Woodville Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Lewis Used Cars and currently owns DT Mobile Home Estates. Douglas was a member of the Crissie Wright Masonic Lodge, 741. He will be loved and missed by all. A special thank you to Margaret Dunlow, his caregiver for the past three years. The family would also like to thank Community Care & Hospice and the wonderful staff who cared for Douglas.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Cooper Lewis of the home; daughters, Eileen Lewis Small of Newport, Sandra Cooper Brandon of Williamston and Margaret Dunlow of Williamston; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dola Lewis and Inez Gillikin Lewis.
