Douglas Commander, 65 , of Pine Knoll Shores, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.
Services will be private.
Mr. Commander served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, and retired after 30 years from civil service.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Denise Commander of the home; mother, Lenora Commander of Miami, FL; two sons, Jeffrey Commander and Brian Commander both of Pine Knoll Shores; and two sisters, Donna Gagnon and Gloria Houk.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Commander.
