Dorothy Blanche Wolfe

Dorothy "Blanche" Wolfe, 74, of Marshallberg, died October 30,2014 at Pruitt Healthcare in Sea Level.
A memorial service will be held at her home in Marshallberg at 343 Star Church Road on Sunday November 2, 2014 at 2pm.
She was born on October 31,1939 in Wilks Barre, Penn to the late Albert Charles Wolfe,Sr and Angeline Lewis Wolfe. Blanche graduated from Smyrna High School in 1957 and continued her education at Southeastern General Hospital School of Nursing in Lumberton,NC where she graduated in 1960. She started her nursing career also in 1960 at Sea Level Hospital as head nurse of Surgical Divisions. She remained a dedicated employee, serving many nursing roles until her retirement on October 31,2001. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was also a great lover of animals and was always eager to take in and care for any animal in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul L.Wolfe,Sr and Albert C.Wolfe,Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Davis of Davis, a niece Angela Davis of Beaufort, a nephew Paul L. Wolfe,Jr and wife Phyllis of Chesapeake,VA, and great nephews Capt. Paul L. Wolfe,III and Matthew Wolfe. She is also survived by her close and loving friends Ann Pittman, Joyce Fulcher, Paula Kermon, and Barbara Sonnino.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Munden Funeral Home.
