Dorothy Ross,77, of Newport, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Ross of the home; son, Scott Ross of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Ross Stevens, Katie Stevens and Ryan Stevens; two great-grandsons, Travis Stevens and Gabe Stevens; and sister, Betty Wenning.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Ross.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers Disease Research Center, Duke Medical Center, Durham, NC 27705.
