Dorothy A Bradford

Dorothy Ann Bradford, age 89, of Havelock, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Dorothy was born in Reading PA, to Charles and Margaret Flynn.  She received her Nursing degree and worked as an RN in Pottsville, PA until her marriage to Elon Bradford of Hebron, ME, a career marine.   After several relocations they finally retired in Havelock, where she was a longtime member of Annunciation Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed working in her garden, loved visiting the beach, and totally adored polar bears and little beasties and birds.

A Funeral Mass of Resurrection, officiated by Pastor Very Reverend Gregory Spencer will be held 11:00 Monday February 15th at Annunciation Catholic Church, followed by a private burial.

She is survived by four children, Nancy Guzman of Jacksonville, NC; Jeffery Bradford of Colorado Springs, CO; Linda Birk of Raleigh, NC; Elon Bradford Jr. of Decatur, TX; and six grandchildren.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many.  She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
