Doris M. “nee Hench” Krueger

Doris M. “nee Hench” Krueger, 91, of Morehead City, went to be with her Lord, to sing in His heavenly choir on Tuesday, December 25­, 2018, at Pruitt Health Neuse in New Bern.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home, 2112 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC, officiated by Rev. Daryl Williams.

Doris was born in Akron, Ohio on May 27, 1927. She attended South High School and graduated  in 1945. During high school, she worked at the Akron City Hospital in food services.

After graduation, Doris worked at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company and the Akron Police Department. From 1960 to 1969, she worked at Youth for Christ. She retired from Haven of Rest Mission in 1992. For the next 10 years she worked for United Way.

Doris lived in Akron, Ohio until 2003, after which she went to live near her daughter in Morehead City, NC. Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehead City where she sang in the senior choir and was a member of a Sunday School class.

She will be lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter, Roxann Everett of Havelock; son, Kurt Krueger and wife Lois of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Robert Everett and wife Lori of Hubert, Ryan Everett of Havelock and Laura Harris and husband Dean of Akron, OH; great-grandsons, Brennen Everett, Daniel Everett and Hunter Harris; and other family members, Willis Hench and wife Jackie of Akron, Wilbur Hench and wife Reatha of KY, Ernestine Maschmeier and husband Skip of Akron, OH, Colleen Nofsinger and husband Eugene of Hartville, OH; and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Foster and Laura Hench; sister, Dorothy Harris; brothers, Leroy and Gale; son-in-law, John Everett; and nephew, William Hench.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home, 2112 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC.
