Doris Faye Eaton

Doris Faye Eaton, 81, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

Doris was born on June 19, 1943, in Coats, NC, to the late Claude and Velma McLeod. She was a dedicated manager at Oceanana Resort, where she brought joy to countless tourists with her friendly demeanor and welcoming spirit. Doris had a special fondness for her daily escape into the dramatic world of her favorite soap opera, General Hospital, where the stories and characters filled her days with entertainment.

Above all, Doris will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lora Schade and husband Ryan of Morehead City, NC; son, Scott Smith and wife April of Lillington, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Stone and wife Ashely, Hannah Stone, and Luke Schade; great-grandchildren, Paisley Stone, Everly Stone, and Baby Stone on the way; and her furry friend, her dog, Scooter.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Carvin Eaton; son, Danny Smith; and sister, Diane Pace.
