Doris Marie (Kennedy) Carroll

Doris Marie Kennedy Carroll, 77, of Morehead City, formerly of Cary, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Bogue Banks Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Williams and Rev. Stephen Bath officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She was a member of Bogue Banks Baptist Church, and also attended First Baptist Church of Davis. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Hassell Carroll of the home; two sons, Michael Carroll and wife Jo of Apex and Marshall Carroll of Cary; sister, Betty Peterson of Greensboro ; two grandsons, Brandon and Justin; and great-grandchild, Jackson Carroll.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Barber and Esther Danley and two brothers, Rufus Kennedy and Marvin Kennedy.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
