Donna Thrippleton

Mrs. Donna Mae Thrippleton (Hawkins), 68, of New Bern, died peacefully August 25, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 205 Pecan Grove Court in New Bern, NC with Father Tulley officiating. The burial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bayside Cemetery in Laconia, NH with a reception to follow at 194 Garfield St., Laconia, NH. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna’s life.
Donna was born on March 9th, 1948 in Laconia, NH to George and Verna Hawkins. She graduated from Laconia High School in 1967. She married John Thrippleton, her high school sweetheart on March 22nd, 1968. After moving to Laconia, Donna began working for Vernitron/Molex as an assembler.
Donna was dedicated to her family with her loving husband John, kids John and Kevin, and many grandchildren whom she cherished every day. She was known as Gram to all that knew her and has raised the bar for all other grandmothers to follow. She will surely be missed by her loving family and friends, but through her strength, we shall overcome to do great things.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Carolina East Hospital ICU for their dedication to Donna's care.
Donna is survived by her husband, John W. Thrippleton, Sr.; children, John W. Thrippleton, Jr. and Kevin M. Thrippleton; siblings, Cathay Hammare, George Hawkins, Jr., and Robin Hendrix; grandchildren, John W. Thrippleton III, Tyler Thrippleton, Elizabeth Thrippleton, Kasey Thrippleton, Mikali Thrippleton, Evelyn Thrippleton, Stephenie Thrippleton, and Abigail Thrippleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Hawkins, Sr., and Verna Hawkins (Annis); and her sister, Nancy Young.
