Donald “Mike” Michael Schwier, Sr., 71, of Beaufort passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service wil be held 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the VFW 111 S. Main Street Mt. Airy, MD 21771

The family held a visitation 3:00 -5:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home and a memorial service at a later date in Maryland.
Mike made many close friends throughout the 20 years he lived in Beaufort. Truly one of a kind who enjoyed working on his Studebaker. Mike was proud to have served in the Navy. He enjoyed crabbing and airplanes and always looked forward to getting updates on his grandchildren.
He is survived by his one daughter, Lisa Schwier of Maryland; one son, Donald Michael Schwier, Jr. and wife Danielle of Maryland; Ex-wife, Joan East; one brother, Curtis Peterman and wife Maureen of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Chris, Joshua, Jacob, Sydney, Emilee, Leah and Michael; one niece, Eileen and one nephew, Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Harvey Schwier and Donna Elizabeth Hamilton.
