Donald Richard Pate, 67, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home in Newport, he was gathered by his wife, daughter, son, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating.
Mr. Pate was a hard working and loving husband, father, and grandpa, and would help anyone in need of anything if he could. Mr. Pate was a Wake County Sheriff-Deputy, he worked for IBM, and also was a pipe fitter.
Now your home with no pain or suffering, you will be always loved and missed and never forgotten.
Mr. Pate is survived by his mother Alma Pate, his wife Marjorie Pate, his two daughters Amega McWilliams, and Reagan Jolly, three sons Ricky Pate, Jeff Lane, and Joey Turner. Mr. Pate is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren Caleb, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Hayden, Timmy, Kaylie, Steven, Nat, Riley, Jacob, Richard, Morgan, and Chance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
