Donald Wayne George II, 55, of Morehead City, died Tuesday July 24, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
The family will hold a service at a later date.
Donald served in the US Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife Melissa Thornburg George: a son Travis Park George of Metairie, LA: father Donald W. George Sr., of Salisbury, NC: two brothers Larry George of Rockwell, NC and Greg George of Salisbury, NC.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara George.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to NPR Foundation Dept. 6054 Washington, DC 20042-6054.
