Diane was born on May 13, 1952, in High Point, North Carolina. Her caring and kind heart were key attributes that allowed her to be a compassionate caregiver which she enjoyed doing in her younger years. She was known for her love of reading and always enjoyed a good book. She loved to sing and always had a song in her heart. Going to the beach was certainly among her fun activities. Along with sitting in her favorite rocker on her sister’s porch in Emerald Isle, looking out at the beautiful ocean view.
Diane loved the Lord and was happy to attend Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City. Her heart was huge when it came to children and animals and her enthusiasm and joy came alive when she had the opportunity to play with both. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who were the sparkle of her eye.
She is survived by her daughter, Allison Stupka of Cameron, NC; sons, Brad Morelli and wife Melissa, and Chad Morelli and wife Jackie, all of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Cathy Michael of Kernersville, NC, Donna Byrd of Emerald Isle, and Teressa O’Shields and husband John of Randleman, NC; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Wiley Comer and stepfather, Warren Comer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville NC 27834.
