Deon Timothy Crowder

Deon Timothy Crowder, 21, of Havelock, NC passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
His funeral will be held Friday, March 25, 2016 at 10 am, at the chapel on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Chaplain Calvin Gardner Sr. will officiate.
Deon was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Havelock. He was in his senior year at UNC Wilmington where he was working towards a degree in computer science with a concentration in digital arts. He loved to write stories and make people laugh. He was a selfless and kind hearted gentleman that just wanted to make others happy.
Deon is survived by his parents, Deon and Waquel Crowder; brother, Dorian Crowder; maternal grandmother Deborah Hill; maternal grandparents, Willard and Leslie Wiggins; paternal grandparents, Jeffery and Sheila Crowder; aunts, Wendolyn, Wynona, Wyntress, and Josette; Uncle, Jeffery Crowder II.
The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Havelock, and one hour prior to the service at the Base Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 5510 Six Forks Road, Suite 107, Raleigh, NC 27609.
