Dennis Neal Harvey, 49, of Davis, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Sunday at First Baptist Church of Davis with Rev. Ed Renfrow officiating with Rev. Paul Harris assisting. Interment will follow at Williston Community Cemetery.
Dennis worked for the family business Harvey and Sons along with his father and brother for over 20 years, and he coinvented the Core Sound Crabpot Christmas trees. Then he went to work for civil service at Piney Island BT11 as a maintenace and heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his daughter Elleigh Faith Harvey and her mother Megan Harvey of Davis; his father and stepmother Neal "Nicky" Harvey and Sue D. Harvey of Davis; brother Sean Christian Harvey of Williston and fiance Tina Salter and their daughter Laney Salter; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his companion Valerie Dawn Piner Yeomans, his mother Annette R. Harvey and maternal grandparents Marvin Robinson and Harriett Robinson, and paternal grandparents Frank Harvey and Maxine Harvey.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday at First Baptist Church of Davis.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Elleigh Faith Harvey Scholarship Fund at PO Box 267 Davis, NC 28524 or any First Citizens Bank.
