Debra “Debbie” Gail Newman Lawrence, 64, of Broad Creek, passed away Sunday, July 1­, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center.

Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Broad Creek United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Ben Ball.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon, of the home; son, Gordon “Gordy” Lawrence, Jr. of the home; brother, James Marvin Newman and wife, Ann, of Newport; sisters, Mary Newman Duclos and husband, Paul, of Broad Creek, Ethel “Lynn” Newman and companion, Herbie Griffin, of Salter Path; nieces, Shelly Duclos, Meagan Foster; nephews, Jamie Duclos, Matthew Newman and wife, Susie, Bon Griffin, Ryan Lawrence; great nephew, Landyn Foster; Uncle Romaine Willis and wife, Dollie; cousins, Denise Rhodes and husband, Tony, Mike Willis and wife, Sheila, Terry Willis, and his wife, Wendy; Uncles Warren Newman, Uncle Marvin Newman and wife, Mary; Aunt Lou Ellen Ivey and husband, Harry, Aunt Annie Belle Sylvia and husband, Ben; and several cousins; sister by heart, Kathy Neilsen; and special friend, Terese Duclos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Eula Belle Newman.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Broad Creek United Methodist Church.
