Debra Andrus Jenkins

Debra Andrus Jenkins, 65, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 24th, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.

Debra was born on November 7, 1957, in Franklin, New Hampshire, to the late Walter and Joann Andrus. She moved to Carteret County, North Carolina in 1982.

Debra was a remarkable woman who was always on the go and was known to her family as a dedicated workaholic. Despite her demanding work schedule, she always found time for her loved ones. Debra had a commitment to her responsibilities, which should be admired.

Debra will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to inspire us to pursue our dreams.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bernice Andrus of Newport; sisters, Greta Harper of Beaufort, Jewel Huff (Gary) of Beaufort; and brothers, Walter Andrus Jr. (Jesse) of Newport, Philip Andrus (Dorothy) of Newport.

In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her loving husband, Troy Jenkins; daughter, Carmen Andrus; and son, Justin Andrus, AKA Brown.
