Deborah Zook Bridgers, 47, of Newport, died Thursday, December 2, 2010.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Dr. Charles Royal officiating.
The most loving mother, daughter, and sister, Debbie loved to laugh. She had a heart of gold and would drop everything to help a friend in need. Her love of animals was lifelong, and she was known to take-in “strays” and make them family. The world is surely a better place with her having lived.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Bridgers of Morehead City; parents, Captain James W. Zook and Diane Zook of Atlantic Beach; brothers, Daniel Zook, and Pete Zook and wife, Annamarie, all of Morehead City; nephews, Daniel Zook, II, Peter Zook, II, and Matthew Zook; and her faithful hound, Mattie.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
