Dawn Lee Amen

Dawn Lee Amen, 61, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Services for Dawn will be held at a later date.

Dawn was born on April 14, 1961, to the late Tom and Geneva Kincaid. She grew up in Newport and, following high school, continued her education in Morehead City in the Nursing field. Working in various nursing homes in Carteret County as well as in Denver, Colorado, Dawn’s special care and kindness as a Licensed Practical Nurse touched numerous lives. Her hobbies included crafting and painting and she loved to express herself through her artistic creativity.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Alan Amen of the home; daughter, Cheyenne Amen of Newport; son, Jesse Lewis Cox of Wilmington; grandson, Caden Alan Beau Quinn; and cousin, Kathy Mason of West Virginia.
