David "D.W." Wells Green, 32, of Newport, died Tuesday, October 26 , 2010 at Carteret General Hospital.
A viewing will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Glad Tidings Church with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm with the Rev. Jerry Lineberger officiating.
He is survived by his mother, Debbie Green of Newport; brother, Dustin Green of Newport; granddaddy Bill Hill "Grandaddy Beard" and Granny Sam of Dover; Aunt, G., Aunt Patti, Aunt Sue Sue, Aunt Mary, and Mama JoAnne; Uncle Danny, Uncle John, Uncle Bill, Uncle Jackie, Uncle Rodney, Uncle Garwood, and Johnny Bird; cousins, Jodi and Chris Justice, Tesha and Justin Merrell, Sean and Kristin Healey, E.J. Bridgers, Cecil “C-Man”, Amanda “Tater”, and Kylie (his god-daughter), and Laci “Laci-Lou”; and his Fort Barnwell family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Wayne Green, grandmother, Pat Hill, grandparents, George and Lucille Green, Auntie, and his beloved dog Jake, his best friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society, PO Box 357, Newport, NC 28570 or to Fort Barnwell Hunting Club, 1039 Orange St., Newport, NC 28570.
