David “Butch” Stone, 61, of Atlantic Beach, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Stone was the co-owner of the Havelock Car Wash for five years. He was a US Coast Guard Captain. He loved to fish from Nova Scotia to Bimini, always returning to Boynton Beach for the sailfish run. This was his passion, and where he will remain. He had a great love for his family.
The family will have a private service.
He is survived by his wife, Gwyn Tatarski Stone of the home; daughter, Laura Stone Barbour and husband Todd of Wilmington; three sons, Mitchell Stone and wife Deborah of Newport, David Stone and wife Casey of Beaufort, and Jeff Simpson of Wilmington; seven grandchildren, Chrissy, Harrison, Tasha, Chris, Heather, Michael, Leah Beth, and Noah; great-granddaughter, Kyra; and sister, Marlene Danison of Charleston, WV.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
