David Hubert Shepard Sr

David H. Shepard, Sr., 77, of Harkers Island and formerly of Aberdeen, died Thursday January 12, at Harborview Health Center.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday January 22, at Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, NC with the Pastor Jane Leechford.
He was a retired outdoor power equipment mechanic. He was a businessman and former owner of Aberdeen Small Engines. He was an advid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and the outdoors. David was a past member of the Southern Pines Shooting Club.
He is survived by a son Hugh Shepard of Aberdeen , a daughter Beth Shepard Keith and husband Richard of Harkers Island : grandson Chris Keith and wife Ashley of Ramseur and two granddaughters Amy Keith Barney and husband Jesse of Ashboro and Katelyn Keith of Greenville: a great granddaughter Aubrey Grace Barney:and a sister Mildred S. Wright of Fayetteville.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Shepard and son Timothy Mark Shepard.
Visitation will follow service in the fellowship hall.
