David Levi Salter, 67, of Bettie , died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home.
A Celebration of His Life will be held 5:00 -7:00 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home, 311 Old River Rd in Bettie.
David Levi Salter was born the son of a farmer. He carried on that tradition spending many years in his own cabbage fields. He loved the smell of turned earth and watching his crops grow. Through the years he turned his hands to mechanics, working hours on cars, trucks and tractors. The rebuilding of old Farmall Cubs was a passion that he talked about often, and excelled at.
He had four children in his short time on earth. He loved each of us, picking no favorites. He stated many times that he didn't deserve such wonderful children, but the fact is, he did. He made us what we are; strong adults with a impeccable work ethic and the ability to stand on our own two feet. He leaves behind memories that are precious and dear. We will hold him in our hearts forever. We love you daddy.~Katherine, Joey, Jeremy and Brittney
He is survived by his wife, Pat Salter of Havelock; his daughter, Katherine Price and husband Bob of Bettie; his son, Joey Salter and wife Jennifer of Canton, MI; his son, David Jeremy Salter of Creedmor; and his daughter, Brittney Gibble of Havelock; grandchildren, Dustin Price and wife Kelly, Melody Wooten, Atavia Price, Chevelle Price, Mia Price, Silas Price, Aaliyah Hester, Athena Hester, Julia Barnhard and Jordyn Barnhard.
