Surrounded by family and loved ones, David Pollack, 72, of Morehead City passed away Saturday, October 15th at Duke University Hospital.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City. Elder Cleo Robertson will officiate; interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
David graduated from Pembroke State College and received his master's degree from East Carolina University.
David was President of Pollack Enterprises, Inc. He and his wife Nancy founded Miss Nancy's Early Learning Centers and owned and operated seven day care centers throughout eastern North Carolina. He had been an adult education instructor at Carteret Community College and taught chemistry and physics at West Carteret High School.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Bittner Pollack, of the home; two daughters, Sarah Pollack Perko of Greensboro, and Anna Pollack Guzman of Atlanta, GA; two sons, John David Pollack, Jr. of Charlotte and Robert Bryan Pollack of Morehead City; brother, James Merrill Pollack of Sylvania, GA; two sisters, Patricia Idell Pollack and Sharon Pollack Armell both of Virginia Beach, VA; and seven grandchildren, Ashley, John David, III, Andrew, Jackson David, Elena, Roberto, Jr. and Annabelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martine Pollack.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
