David C. Jeans

MGySgt David C. Jeans Sr., USMC Retired, 83, of Havelock, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his home.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Impact Church, 5370-J Highway 70, in Morehead City.

David was born in Troy, Michigan, on July 17, 1938, to the late Vernon and Elma Jeans. His dedication and patriotism were proven through his 30 years of service in the United States Marine Corps. As a strong believer, David was a member of Impact Church in Morehead City.

He is survived by his daughters, Elma Bunch of Havelock and Wendy Jeans of Mesa, AZ; sons, David C. Jeans Jr. and wife Lorraine of Athens, ME and Glenn M. Jeans and wife Micki of Elizabethton, TN; sisters, Dawn Fenner of Metamora, MI and Marlene Lewen and husband Bill, all of Waterford, MI; brother, Vernon Jeans Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Jeans.
