David Hartsell, 67, of Newport, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home.
The family and church will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 pm Saturday at Cape Carteret Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gerry Hartsell of the home; two daughters, Deborah Langlotz and husband Lee and Donna Watts and husband Jeff Bearden: two sons, Kirby Hartsell and wife Carol and Gary Blakley and wife Shannon all of Winston Salem; sister, Patricia Clark and husband Larry of Morganton; brother, Craig Hartsell and wife June of Kernersville; special friend, Steve Watts of Advance; and way too many other friends to try mentioning them all;12 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Back Pack Buddies at Cape Carteret Baptist Church or to the Church Building Fund, 101 Anita Forte Dr, Cape Carteret, NC 28584.
