David Bryan Griffin,49, of Morehead City, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital. .
David served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for many years. He retired as water line supervisor from the Town of Morehead City after 30 years.
Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Lewis Griffin; son, David Bryan Griffin, II, mother, Sally Tosto Griffin and grandson, Dylan Bryan Griffin, all of Morehead City; sister, Mari Griffin Robinson and husband Jeffry of Aurora; brother, Gary Dean Griffin of Beaufort; mother-in-law, Louann Lewis; special niece, Peyton Robinson of Aurora; special nephews, Michael Griffin of Morehead City, Matthew Griffin of Newport, Joseph Griffin of Morehead City, and Sean Bohonicky of Aurora; aunt, Linda Smith Tosto; uncles, James "Jim" Tosto and wife Kay and Michael "Mike" Tosto and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Bryan "Jiggs" Griffin; father-in-law, Cary Lewis; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Griffin Dickson; maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Delphia Tosto; paternal grandparents, James and Elsie Griffin and uncle, Paul Tosto.
The family will receive friends, 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home and also at the home of Sally Griffin.
