David Garner, 66, of Newport, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Carteret General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 6:00 pm Monday at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Miller officiating.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Garner of the home: two daughters Wendy Best Johnson and husband Mitchell of Nacogdoches, TX, and Melissa Garner Mims and husband Shawn of Newport: four grandchildren Chase Dixon, Destinee Beck, Courtney Johnson, and Cameron Johnson: his sister Agnes Tyndall of Beaufort: and a brother Graham Garner of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Dorothy White Garner, a son Christopher Michael Garner, and two brothers Bobby Garner, and Dean Garner.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
