David R. Cerovac, 70, of Havelock, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Carteret Health Care.

David was born on March 20, 1952, in Berea, Ohio, to the late Peter and Gwendolyn Cerovac. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served. Following the military, David worked faithfully as an Aircraft Mechanic at F.R.C.E., Cherry Point from which he retired. David will be remembered by his family as being a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Baugus (Jammie) of Holladay, TN, Heather Cerovac of Havelock, and Melissa Wilkerson (Shannon) of New Bern; stepson, Christopher Ausbun of Leesville, LA; sisters, Judy Borzy of Brunswick, OH and Tracey Cerovac of The Villages, FL; brothers, Lee Cerovac of The Villages, FL and Paul Cerovac (Diane) of Brunswick, OH; grandchildren, Brianna Brummett, Justice Provencher, Jordan Cerovac, Alissa Provencher, Jared Baugus; great-grandchildren, Denver Colwell, Maverick Brummett, and baby Joseph; the mother of his children, Donna Boatwright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, RhuLynn Cerovac; maternal grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Hedrick; and paternal grandparents, Samuel and Eva Cerovac.
