David Alan Bilger

David Alan Bilger, 66, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

A private memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock,  officiated by Pastor Jim Daub. Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, the family invites friends to view the webcasting of the service at Munden Funeral Home’s website.

David served in the U.S. Navy and then retired working with FRC. He was also a coach, manager, and president of the Havelock Little League.

He is survived by his wife, Akiko Bilger; daughter, Cynthia George and husband Andrew Thompson of Havelock; sons, Ryan Bilger of Edmond, OK and Shawn Bilger of Germany; sister, Cheri Moyer; brother, Don Bilger and wife Maria of Gorham, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Ryker Bilger, Dakota George, Catherine George, Daevyn Leach, Hailey Bilger, Kayla Bilger, and Falicia Bilger; and great-grandchildren, Ian Nixon, Ciara Branch, Phoenix Clark and Liam Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Bilger, and sister, Janet Savino.
