David Harold Auringer, 85, of Atlantic, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.
The family will conduct a memorial service 3:00 pm Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Atlantic United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Jack Colenda.
David Auringer was born December 6, 1931 to Harold and Marcella Auringer of Madison and Belmar, NJ. He served our country in the US Army. He was an active member in the Eagle Scouts Order of the Arrow as a leader, a lifetime member of the NRA, a foremost firearms and collectibles enthusiast, a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church Choir, and a generous benefactor to charity.
His is survived by his wife, Helen Peterson Auringer of Atlantic, NC; and son, Derek Auringer and family of Hummelstown, PA.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Heller, Doris H. Auringer, and Mikey Phillips.
