Daryl (Oglesby) Poulk

September 21, 1951 — March 3, 2015

Mrs. Daryl Oglesby Poulk, age 63, passed away on Tuesday evening at home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday afternoon at 1st United Methodist Church in Morehead City. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Poulk was born September 21, 1951 in Pitt County to the late David E. Oglesby Jr. and Catherine T. Oglesby. She attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC where she earned her bachelors’ degree in education. It was at Methodist College where she met her husband of 41 years, Fletcher Poulk. She was a loving Mother to three sons and was known as Nana to her 4 grandchildren. As a mother to three boys, she was always seen on the sidelines at their athletic events and was their biggest supporter and number one fan. Daryl loved being outside and enjoyed working in her yard as well as taking on home improvement projects. She also loved spending time with her two furry girls, Alle a 4 year old lab and Sundee, a 3 year old golden retriever.

Surviving are; Loving husband, Fletcher Poulk; Sons & Daughter-In-Laws, Thomas (Tommy) & Kelley Poulk of Holly Springs, NC, Matthew & Daphne Poulk of Raleigh, NC, Drew Poulk of Raleigh, NC; Four Grandchildren, Ella, Emmy, Eli, & Brailyn Poulk; Sister and Brother, Kay Matlock, David E. Oglesby III of Morehead City, NC.

Visitation will be held Saturday Evening at Munden Funeral Home from 6-8PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Backpack Buddies and Family Promises through 1st United Methodist Church of Morehead City.
