Darryl Christian Lewis, 63, of Newport, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Darryl was employed with the Morehead City movie theatre for 18 years, and retired from Carolina Discount Sports after 24 years of service. His employer said " he never missed a day of work".
He is survived by a sister in-law Louann Lewis: a niece Angela Griffin: and very special friend Nancy Monfalcone.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Mary Lewis, and a brother Cary Gordon Lewis.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital Tribute # 33654974, 362 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
