Danny Lee Peters, 56, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

Born on September 7, 1968, in Urbana, Illinois, Danny was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His adventurous spirit led him to live in various parts of the United States, including Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina, and he cherished his travels to Italy, Japan, and Germany. Danny embraced life fully and made the most of every opportunity.

A passionate automotive enthusiast, Danny worked as a skilled Diesel Automotive Technician at City Tire Muffler. He was also a devoted NASCAR race fan, he loved the great outdoors and had a genuine love for all things sports related. He enjoyed grilling and cooking for his loved ones and was famously known as the Cheesecake King.

More than anything, Danny loved his family and valued spending time with them. He will be remembered as a devoted husband of 14 years, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Tammy Peters; daughters, Danielle Garcia (Travis Harper) of St. Mary’s, GA and Jessica Crain of Morehead City, NC; parents, Richard and Nancy Peters of Urbana, IL; brothers, Dennis Peters of Urbana, IL, David Peters of Thomasboro, IL, and Doug Peters of Urbana, IL; grandchildren, Alexander, Kinsley and Arabella Garcia; his cat, Beetle Juice; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother, Donald Peters.
