Danny was born on January 8, 1964, in Morehead City, NC, to Donald and Nora Faye Dixon. He attended East Carteret High School and dedicated 20 years of his career to the HVAC industry, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues.

Family was at the heart of Danny's life; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and friends. A devoted Carolina sports fan, he passionately followed all Carolina teams. Danny enjoyed a close, personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, which allowed him to make this journey knowing that something better was in store for him and he would invite others to experience that same relationship. Danny’s life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will continue to inspire many.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Lou Ann Dixon; daughters, Heather Dixon Bissette (Greg) of Randleman, NC, and Virginia Truitt of Morehead City, NC; son, Cody Truitt (Ashley) of Beaufort, NC; mother, Nora Faye Dixon of Beaufort, NC; sister, Suzanne Willis (Roland) of Beaufort, NC; brother, Donald Dixon Jr. of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Gabriella LeBron of Cary, NC, Josiah Dudley of Beaufort, NC, Easton Bissette and Caden Bissette, both of Randleman, NC; and fur baby, Sadie.
