Daniel L. Quintero, 56, of Jacksonville and formerly of Newport, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 7th, at Centerview Baptist Church in Jacksonville. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.
Daniel was born on June 13, 1965, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late Lucas and Ruth Quintero. In October of 1983, he entered the United States Marine Corps where he served faithfully for 22 years. Following his military retirement, he worked in Civil Service as a Research Technician.
His analytical side love computers and dealing with anything technological. His adventurous side enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycling, and shooting as a marksman.
He is survived by his daughter, Jillian DelVecchio and husband Scott of Madison, CT; son, Daniel Quintero Jr. of Newport; sister, Tami Crespo; grandchildren, Evan and Maya; best friend, Kimberly Chastain; and girlfriend, Elizabeth Reynolds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosalie Garcia, Tina Marie Rosa and Vanessa Maldonado; and brother, Richard.
