Daniel Lyn Penny, 63, of Newport, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Facility.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Pastor Manley B. Rose Jr. officiating.
He is survived by his sisters, Wanda "Wendy" Penny of Newport, Lois Whaley of Newport, Rita Gaskins of New Bern, and Frances Pitts of San Antonio,TX; and brother, Bobby Penny of Newport.
He was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Helen Penny, sister, Rosalene McRannolds, and twin brother, David Lee Penny.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
