Daniel Wallace Hamilton Jr.

Daniel Wallace Hamilton Jr., 79, also known as D.W. went to heaven on September 7, 2012 with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Morehead City, NC on May 16, 1933. He graduated from Atlantic High School in 1952. He attended Hardbarger College. He worked along side his mother as a postal assistant in Stacy for 23 years. He was a quiet simple man. He loved family, classmates, antique cars, and Atlantic House. He was proud to be a democrat.
He is survived by his sister Lida Hamilton Styron and husband Danny. He is further survived by three nieces: Rosa Styron and husband Buddy Hill, Christy Willis and husband Ellis, and Wendy Robinson and husband John. He had two great nieces: Emilee and Ashlym Robinson, and one great nephew: Landon Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Beulah Hamilton, and grandparents John Howard and Rose Mason, uncles Carl Hamilton, and Rudolph Mason.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Saturday at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Atlantic House 3701 Bridges St. Morehead City, NC 28557.
