Daniel “Dan” Edward Ericksen, 89, of Morehead City, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dan was born on July 24, 1935, in Highland Park, New Jersey, to the late Phillip and Barbara Ericksen.

Dan was a man of many talents. He was an avid pilot and enjoyed driving 18-wheeler trucks as well as farm equipment. He loved boating and spending time on the water with his family, especially his son Mike. He was a master gardener. Dan was an expert handyman and could fix almost anything in a home. Neighbors would seek his advice and help when needed. He was a good neighbor and friend.

Dan had a kind heart and was always willing to serve. In addition to being a volunteer fireman, he served as president of the Country Club of the Crystal Coast, president of an HOA, and he organized the Road Maintenance Association in his neighborhood.
